Recently, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Jerlun, Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir calling for the closure of national-type schools indeed opposing human rights and the social contract. As we realized that statement made was due to the coming-soon UMNO-party-election which will held on March next year as Mukhriz contesting for UMNO Youth Chief, but to exploit national unity for his self politics interest indeed cannot be accepted. He should be taken action under the Sedition Act as said by the DAP leader where it is based on the amendment of the Federal Constitution that amended in 1971.

Learning mother tongue language is a human right. And certainly, some will say that Chinese-language and Tamil-language subjects will be provided in national schools. However, this may systematically abolished such languages in the education system. Whereby, the national schools now which providing Chinese-language and Tamil-language subjects, the learning only until basic level (Standard 1 & 2) for 6 years and the learning process is considerably unsystematic and in an informal way. Isn’t that a effort to deny the right of Chinese and Indian people to learn their mother tongue language?

There is also amazement that former Minister of Health, Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek who touched on Malay supremacy was investigated by the police when there is no investigation being made on Mukhriz who obviously threaten the national stability and the nation’s unity. However, it does not meant that we support Soi Lek because people know that MCA leaders’ remarks currently were mainly affected by 308 Political Tsunami in order to get back their supports from the Chinese community.
