Does “Bahasa Malaysia” Term to Unite Malaysian?

I would like to bring a matter here which happened last year, 2007 in the month of June. That is about the usage of the term Bahasa Malaysia over Bahasa Melayu.

In fact, Malaysia as a multi-lingual society, the Bahasa Malaysia term should not refers to only one language but should refers to all Malaysian’s languages, that is, Malay, Chinese, Tamil and also the main languages in Sabah and Sarawak.

The usage term of Bahasa Malaysia over Bahasa Melayu is actually disrespect to the non-Malay’s mother tongue languages.

Isn’t in the context of the term of Bangsa Malaysia only refers to Malay people? Certainly not, and it could be refers to Malay, Chinese, Indian and those in Sabah and Sarawak.
