BN Talks Haphazardly

Malaysians were very fed up with Barisan Nasional (BN) since long time ago. It’s already 10 months since the last general-election was held, but we still don’t see any change within the ruling coalition. It’s not surprising actually. The BN seemingly more interested in playing trivial issues. No matter it is UMNO, MCA or MIC, those are the same.

Few days ago, we are informed that the MCA Vice-President, Datuk Liow Tiong Lai said that the Penang has no development under DAP. He also told the reporter that DAP should “thank” the previous state-government for having brought in investments to the tune of RM10 billion which according to him, it was the sole effort of the previous BN-led state-government.

In another case, the Former Mentri Besar of Selangor, Mohamad Khir Toyo via his official blog, said that the achievement in the performance index by the Yang Dipertua Majlis Daerah Hulu Selangor, Tukiman was “outcome” of his broom-award in 2007.

Obviously, the BN is so conceited and obstinate, although they are rejected by more and more Malaysians.

Initially, I think Datuk Ong Tee Keat was an okay man until he was elected as the MCA President. His recent comments on the Kuala Terengganu by-election also changed my mind towards him. That is, when he quoted that DAP should boycott the Kuala Terengganu by-election over hudud laws proposed by PAS. But why should not MCA quit BN when UMNO declared that Malaysia was an Islamic state? And why MCA still in BN when there’s no abolishment of Internal Security Act (ISA) which they are opposing to? Isn’t Tee Keat a hypocrite?

For this coming by-election, the Chinese voters should vote for PAS candidate. This is not because of PAS but it’s the DAP which we can really believe in as its stand is consistent since its formation.
