Umno members to save MACC & Police?

The society, irrespective of political beliefs should come together to look into the mysterious death of Teoh Beng Hock. Interestingly, Umno members gathered to support MACC and police instead of sending condolence to Teoh's fiancee and family. What makes them to preserve MACC and police? Are they having political mileage in those so-called independent bodies?

That's no wonder for people to question the independency of MACC and police as those bodies are obviously practicing selective investigations, aiming only the Pakatan Rakyat leaders. Are they going to be the component parties of Barisan Nasional or part of Umno?

It's also ridiculous for Umno members to accuse the Pakatan as turning it into racial issue. Whereby, the actual turner is Utusan, the Umno's official party newspaper.

Apparently, the political culture of Umno/BN has become more and more aggressive, ever since the pre-Najib's era, the infamous coup de'tat in Perak.

7.4.09 - Balik Mengundi!

Spread the word - Let’s Change For Malaysia!

This video is to remind Malaysians of the sense of hope and liberation felt by all Malaysians, regardless of race or religion, at the heart-thumping general election results of March 8, 2008 - uniting all Malaysians in an uplifting feeling that there is still a future for the country as change is possible.

With the three important by-elections of Bukit Gantang, Bukit Selambau and Batang Ai in eleven days’ time on April 7, 2009, let us reinforce the paradigm shift in Malaysian politics achieved last year after half-a-century of electoral politics to endorse the advent of two-coalition politics where Malaysians will always have a meaningful choice at the ballot box in the march towards freedom, democracy, justice, accountability, integrity and good governance.

Every vote counts in the three by-elections on April 11.

People’s power in Bukit Gantang, Bukit Selambau and Batang Ai to end political hegemony in the country!

Responds to Andrew and Anonymous

Well, I received comments from Andrew and Anonymous two weeks ago. Thanks to them for commenting here.

mapois

Andrew was commented on “Nik Aziz says ‘bumiputera’ term is racist”. His comment:

mapois

Try to test on your own!!! "Are you really a patriot?"

Question-- Have you ever "littering" even a small piece of candy's cover from the day you thought you are a Patriot???

You do not have to answer me, just answer yourself and it can show how much you love Malaysia!!!

It's GOOD that you show all the weaknesses of our Malaysia Government in here, typical Malaysian will feel exciting here coz you sound their mind!!! But your act do not show that you can take part in Politics!!!

"A Real Patriot" will not only sound out the citizen's mind, but the Government also!!!

A Real Patriot, will make citizens understand the Government, make the Government understands the citizens!!!

If you love Malaysia, don't provoke the citizens, try to show WHY & What's going in the Government, and give your Suggestion on HOW TO IMPROVE OUR MALAYSIA'S WEAKNESSES!!!

mapois

My respond to Andrew:

mapois

I can proudly say that I have never littered even a small piece of candy’s cover.

mapois

Well, I’m here not provoking the Malaysian, but I am here to wake up the Malaysian with my little will. As a real patriot, I am really concerned if UMNO/BN still in ruling. This is not because I’m opposing UMNO/BN without any reason, but there’re thousands of rationales. Just roughly give an example, the bodies which should act independently, had shown that they aren’t independent from the executive body. And sincerely, it’s hard for me to find good thing of UMNO/BN to tell people here, because the UMNO/BN’s dirtiness have indeed prevailed all its other things.

mapois

P/S: The post that you commented on is not my writing, but it’s a news source from “The Malaysian Insider”.

mapois

Meanwhile, Anonymous was commented on “The Transport System”. His/Her comment:

mapois

Hi, to be honest to you, I'm not really agree that you said JPJ or government was wrong in "Compound of RM300"!

Let me ask you, "Are you preparing to pay for it?"

I never think about how much is the fine, coz I will wear the rear seat safety belt whenever I sit behind from the day the rule start!!!

Actually, if you really a patriot, pls try to educate/help/showing what is the right way, to our citizens, but not blamming the rule!!! thx.

mapois

My respond to Anonymous:

mapois

Well, I would like to emphasize that I am not opposing the rule to wear rear seat belts as it can reduces the risk of rear passengers from being injured or even death when an accident happened. But what I opposing here is the amount of fine.

mapois

In that article, my opinion is based on the overall Malaysian which was not educated for wearing the rear seat belts from the past and have not accustomed yet to do so. So, it's not wonder for Malaysian to forget to wear rear seat belts for the early stage. And thus, it should start with a cheaper fine. Can’t the fine be cheaper for the beginning?

A video uploaded on YouTube

Irrefutable evidence showing UMNO Youth goons obstructing and menacing wheelchair-bound DAP National Chairman and MP for Bukit Gelugor Karpal Singh in the precincts of Parliament last Thursday (26th February 2009) from carrying out his parliamentary duties.

Nik Aziz says ‘bumiputera’ term is racist

MARCH 1 – In extraordinary remarks today, Pas spiritual leader Datuk Nik Aziz Nik Mat said the use of the term “bumiputera” smacks of racism and deprived other races of government aid.

mapois

His comments, made in Kota Baru today, will certainly spark debate, especially since it comes from a Malay leader who is widely respected even by his foes in Barisan Nasional and Umno.

mapois

In calling the term bumiputera racist, he appears to be drawing a clear line between his Pas party and the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) from that of Umno, which has been championing the special rights of Malays.

mapois

Nik Aziz’s remarks was made in response over growing criticism from the conservative spine of Umno against comments made by DAP’s Dr Boo Cheng Hau, the opposition leader in Johor.

mapois

Dr Boo was reported to have compared “bumiputeraism” with apartheid.

mapois

Umno leaders have demanded an apology from Boo, and say his comments were a challenge to Malay rights and the constitution.

mapois

Umno’s Utusan Malaysia also described Boo’s remarks as a part of DAP’s agenda to form a republic.

mapois

But Nik Aziz was reported by Bernama as saying today that not only did the term smack of racism but deprived other races sharing similar rights and having the same identity cards of government assistance.

mapois

“In an election, other races are allowed to cast one vote, so are the bumiputera," he said.

mapois

Nik Abdul Aziz said the government should form a body to manage aid for the poor in the country and not cater only for a single group known as the bumiputera.

mapois

“I don’t like the (use of the) word bumiputera. What I like is (use of the word) poor, for all races,” he added.

mapois

He said the poor, regardless of their race, should be given assistance.

mapois

His statement appears to be also in line with Anwar Ibrahim’s concept of “Ketuanan Rakyat,” or supremacy of the people, which has been used to diffentiate PR parties from Umno’s “Ketuanan Melayu,” or Malay supremacy.

Violence the UMNO/BN’s Politics Culture

mapois

Wheelchair-bound DAP chairman Karpal Singh (DAP-Bukit Gelugor) had a scare when 22 Selangor UMNO Youth members surrounded him as he arrived for parliament proceedings at 2.45pm today. The group demanded that he apologize for alleging that UMNO Youth had threatened him by sending him live cartridges. – The Sun

mapois

When Fong Po Kuan (DAP – Batu Gajah) received a call from Karpal’s aide, she went over. During the commotion, Fong shouted: “Where is security? Where is security?” and a reply was heard: “We only jaga (look after) inside (Parliament), not outside.” – The Star

mapois

It’s again a new ‘black’ chapter in UMNO/BN-party’s history. UMNO/BN had acted over the boundary. Obviously, they are trying to take advantage over a disabled individual by threatening and bullying means. Is it that’s the UMNO/BN’s politics culture?

mapois

Keluhuran Perlembagaan II

It seems that UMNO and BN are now trying to shift the people’s eyes from their illegitimate Perak state-government to Karpal’s decision to take legal action against Sultan Azlan Shah.

mapois

Even secondary-school students, they are taught in history subject, that the rulers can be sued in court of their official capacities. So, it’s ridiculous for certain people to make it as an issue by manipulating the story and to lodge police reports against Karpal. Interestingly, the police did accept such reports and had questioned Karpal as well for two hours in connection with 89 reports which had been lodged against him nationwide for his decision to take legal action against Sultan Azlan Shah.

mapois

What a shame on UMNO and BN who rule the country for more than a half-century, but still failed to act according to the Constitution, the highest law and the foundation of the nation.

mapois

People are also amazed that when UMNO’s people held their so-called peaceful demonstration, it will rarely for someone to be arrested. And although its demonstrators were often carrying placards with abusive language, it will still be reflected as peaceful by Utusan newspaper. But when its “politics enemies” held peaceful demonstration, there’re always some are arrested and it will be reflected as aggressive demonstration by the mainstream media.

Blame it on Mahathir

GEORGE TOWN: DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng has blamed former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad for the uproar over Karpal Singh’s plan to sue the Sultan of Perak.

mapois

He said Karpal Singh, who is DAP chairman, was merely stating a matter of law that the Sultan could be taken to court.

mapois

Lim said it was Dr Mahathir who was behind the 1993 constitutional amendment that allowed Rulers to be stripped of their immunity from prosecution.

mapois

“If we look at history, the person who made this law is from Umno. If you want to place blame, then blame the Umno person who is responsible for the deed,” he told reporters before receiving a courtesy call from the Penang Bar Committee at his office in Komtar yesterday.

mapois

In Petaling Jaya, Karpal Singh said there was no legal basis to banish him from Perak.

mapois

“I firmly stand by my opinion that the Sultan of Perak can be sued in court in his official capacity for having dismissed the Pakatan state government,” he said in a statement.

mapois

He said under the Banishment Act, 1959 (Act 79), he could not be banished from any states in the Federation of Malaysia because it is an Act relating to the banishment and expulsion from Malaysia of persons other than citizens.
